Milk production suffers when cows are exposed to high levels of mycotoxins in feed. Poor quality forages often have mycotoxins which lower performance, reduce reproduction in dairy cows and have been shown to negatively impact a cow’s immune status. Additionally, high levels of aflatoxins also can require producers to dump milk because of human health concerns.
There are more than 200 known mycotoxins. One product cannot help producers in every situation. Knowing the right combination of products can be a strong preventative strategy to keep cows healthy.
