Novus International’s Scott Hine Recognized Amongst Top 100 STEM Leaders

Executives were selected based on their commitment to STEM education in the workplace

ST. LOUIS (Dec. 4, 2015)—Novus International, Inc., a leader in animal nutrition through health, announced today their VP of Products & Solutions and Chief Innovation Officer has been recognized as one of the top 100 CIO/CTO Leaders in STEM for 2015, published by STEMconnector®, the one-stop resource for “who is doing what” in STEM education and careers. The annual publication showcases executives who have demonstrated a strong commitment to cultivating a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) workforce.

“I am honored to have received this recognition. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) estimates the global food industry will need to improve productivity by 70 percent and feed over nine billion people by 2050,” commented Hine. “This is a daunting challenge for the world, and STEM education will be critical to delivering solutions. Novus shares a responsibility with our food chain partners to help feed the world affordable, wholesome food. We can help meet this challenge by continuing to invest in the best and brightest minds and passions to help advance methods, practices and collaborative approaches within all parts of the food value chain. STEM education will help us all maintain or improve quality of life, doing more with the limited precious resources we have on this earth.”

“We are proud to highlight 100 Chief Information Officers and Chief Technology Officers and recognize their leadership and excellence,” said Edie Fraser, chief executive officer of STEMconnector®. “Technology is number one for business and jobs. The role of the CIO/CTO becomes critical to business and innovation.”

Each senior executive profile includes their thought-provoking responses to questions about STEM education, workforce development, public-private partnerships and how diversity in STEM will influence the national conversations regarding these issues.

100 CIO/CTO Leaders in STEM is a STEMconnector® publication sponsored by Cisco, Deloitte Consulting, Diversified Search and Tata Consultancy Services.
