In 1995 Novus partnered with the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation to establish the Endowed Novus International Professorship in Poultry Science at the University of Arkansas. The individual awarded the Professorship is involved in teaching graduate level courses related to nutrition and metabolism. These courses attract students from a wide variety of fields including: Animal Sciences, Food Sciences, Human and Environmental Sciences and Biological Sciences. Training of graduate students in nutrition and metabolism research is essential to providing answers to current and future challenges related to animal and human health. The individual awarded the Professorship works with visiting scientists from other universities throughout the world, conducting cooperative research projects, training sessions, seminars and sabbatical programs.
