Producers get paid on the volume of milk produced. In almost all cases, the more milk produced the more money for producers. Poor quality forages and improper feeding regiments leave some dairy cows producing lower than their genetic potential. Finding improved methods of feeding animals and better ways to meet the animals daily nutrient requirement can drastically assure optimal milk production.
