Pelleting of feed has become a standard process in the feed industry for improved intake and performance. Less feed sorting occurs and animals consume a balanced diet at all times. Pellet quality however, must be of a high durability or hardness, since pellets which fall apart and crumble do not provide the same benefit as a whole pellet.

The pelleting process is energy intensive and it requires even higher levels of heat and steam to make durability pellets. The Novus pelleting quality products are designed to reduce energy needs and pelleting cost by allowing more moisture penetration of the feed mash prior to the pelleting process. The combination of preservatives and surfactants in these products provide improved pellet output, harder more durable pellets, in turn improving the overall quality of the feed.
