Under the current economic conditions, cost of production has become the toughest obstacle to establishing and maintaining a sustainable and profitable operation. The high cost of feed ingredients, the use of the most used grains to produce ethanol and lower quality of feed stuffs in general are limiting profits in the pork industry. Many ingredients have valuable nutrients that are not being utilized due to limited digestion or excessive damage due to the presence of mycotoxins.
