Novus Scientists Preparing to Present Groundbreaking Research at PSA 2014

103rd PSA Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas will be
the home of poultry industry's best and brightest July 14-17

St. Louis – July 10, 2014 – Novus scientists are preparing presentations and posters for the 103rd Poultry Science Association (PSA) conference in Corpus Christi, Texas. Novus will be among the more than 850 scientists, extension specialists, educators, producers, students and administrators that will be participating in scientific sessions, symposia, networking and social events. Novus scientists will be presenting new groundbreaking research on enzymes and pigments as part of the scientific sessions. A longtime supporter of the PSA and the scientific community as a whole, Novus is demonstrating that support with a Gold-level event sponsorship.

Novus is hosting a customer delegation from the Philippines at PSA, providing them a unique opportunity to experience this event firsthand. The company is excited to present its latest research and findings on topics relevant to the poultry industry through a series of four oral abstract presentations and one poster presentation.

Novus’s first oral presentation will be held on Tuesday, July 15 at 3:15 p.m. Dr. Frances Yan will lead a discussion entitled, Effect of protease on growth performance and carcass traits of broilers fed diets with different crude protein levels.

Dr. M.K. Manangi’s poster, The efficacy of a next-generation microbial phytase on apparent ileal amino acid and crude protein digestibility in broiler chicks fed non-phytate phosphorus-deficient corn-soybean meal based diets, will be available for viewing on Monday, July 14, from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Novus is also continuing its annual tradition of honoring the work of an outstanding teacher and an outstanding scholar for their efforts and commitment to poultry industry, both in and outside the classroom. More information on the winners will be released at a later date.
