Sr. Coordinator S&OP, EMEA

Job Description:

The Sr. Coordinator S&OP, EMEA plays a key role in the preparation and implementation of the S&OP process and takes care of all aspects of the Sales and Operations Planning process. This includes the deployment of best practices and processes that drive continuous improvement in forecasting with the purpose to find the right balance between demand and supply.

You are the link between Sales and Operations and support the operations and sales ensuring a supply planning process that meets the customer demand.

The Sr. Coordinator S&OP is monitoring and managing the forecast data, the inventories & obsoletes and coordinates and complies with the S&OP process in place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely execution of all phases of the S&OP process to provide an optimal customer service level and working capital performance as defined by the organizations business operating plans and strategic objectives.
  • The Sr. Coordinator S& OP is responsible to ensure all activities related to communication, site standardization, stakeholder and departmental alignment are approached in a harmonized process and in line with the business unit objectives.
  • Gather and coordinate in a timely manner the forecast entries and be proactive in identifying risks and opportunities to forecast.
  • Organize, prepare and lead the monthly meetings with regional sales area managers to analyse, discuss and correct sales forecast.
  • Manage the data in the S&OP ERP system with input from both regional sales area meetings and EMEA executive S&OP consensus meeting.
  • Prepare and lead monthly EMEA executive S&OP consensus meeting to give update on the forecasts, expired products, slow movers, identify supply issues, review products about to expire and guide on final decision of open items.
  • Maintain close cooperation with sales and product management to acquire business knowledge to allow interpreting and questioning forecast and report discrepancies of forecast vs AOP (above 20%.)
  • On a regular basis review and make proposals to update the MRP data in the SAP system:product strategy, safety stocks, supply chain lead-times, …
  • Review historical sales trends and continuously analyse forecast trends.
  • Inventory planning

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience of demand and supply planning.
  • Strong cross functional skills to effectively collaborate and communicate with the sales teams in EMEA, the Finance team, the Logistics team and the product managers team, ensuring alignment with Novus' key objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills in order to make decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Able to influence key stakeholders in S&OP.
  • Able to be pro-active in addressing issues / problems
  • Able to challenge current work practices to improve performance.
  • Confidence, patience, politeness, tact and diplomacy when dealing with challenging situations
  • Strong comprehension of the SAP OTC Customer Service and LE Logistics Execution & Inventory Management planning business systems and overall business processes
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Awareness of cultural differences

Required Language Skills

  • Fluent in English
  • Additional European languages are of value


  • The position requires 2 weeks per month travel during the training period (3 months) and occasional travel once training is completed.
