Sharing Scientific Research at IPPE 2014

We’re on the ground here in Atlanta for the 2014 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) and we’ve kicked off our involvement in this year’s show with a strong scientific foundation.

Monday at the International Poultry Scientific Forum (IPSF), Dr. Juxing Chen presented an oral presentation titled “Effect of probiotics on the development of bacterial chondronecrosis with osteomyelitis in poultry” and Dr. Megharaja Manangi presented two oral presentations titled “Forty-two day evaluation of a microbial phytase in phosphorus deficient broiler diets via live broiler performance and tibia bone ash” and “Twenty-one day evaluation of microbial phytase inclusion in phosphorus deficient broiler diets via live broiler performance and tibia bone ash.”

Dr. Shelly McKee’s (Auburn University) presentation “How Consumer Preference Drives Poultry Processing” at the Novus IPSF luncheon was another scientific highlight. An attentive crowd listened to Dr. McKee discuss current challenges along the poultry value chain and how poultry science can impact consumer satisfaction.

Yesterday, we hosted an ALIMET® 88 Party at the Novus booth (Booth , Hall A) and there was a great turnout! A huge crowd outside the booth celebrated the methionine sources that work better and our 30th anniversary of ALIMET® production at our Chocolate Bayou, TX plant.

Tonight will be our cocktail party at the Omni Hotel, in the Dogwood Room A-M1 of the North Tower, from 5:00-6:30pm. Check out http://www.novusint.com/events/ippe2014 for the complete list of our presentations and events.
