NOVUS NURTURES THE FUTURE OF AGRICULTURE WITH GRADUATE SCHOLARS PROGRAM

In the animal agriculture industry, producers face a vast new set of challenges when it comes to meeting the demands of our world. Cutting edge technology and scientific advancements help our customers meet the demands of the market, and we share a responsibility to attract the best and brightest minds to help advance methods, practices and collaborative approaches within all parts of the food value chain.

In an effort to support the vitality of our industry and its ability to continue to meet the world's needs for food and nutrition, we launched the Novus Graduate Scholars Program. In its ninth year, the program is an international initiative that engages with top agricultural universities around the world. Together, we identify outstanding research students and offer them a unique opportunity to enhance their knowledge in agriculture from an international perspective research. Each student, based on their research areas, is matched with a Novus mentor. This arrangement, proven year after year, forces productive interaction and competitiveness, which in turn, stimulates progress.

This year, nine students were selected to embark on an unforgettable journey at the Novus headquarters in Missouri. The research-enriched program exposed students to fascinating technology, introduced them to the latest agricultural innovations and most importantly enabled them to gain a new understanding of what Novus International’s customers need on a global scale. For eight weeks, students toured feed mills, agriculture industry operations, research farms and universities. The scholars also attended national scientific meetings and participated in various research projects.  This year’s scholars were an impressive group, and we have high hopes for the future investments they will make in agriculture.
