Novus Works Hard, Plays Hard - Family Fitness Day 2015
Normally, work at Novus entails research and development, customer service, sales, marketing, or managing Novus’s expansive facilities. However, earlier this month the Novus St. Charles, Mo. headquarters had an influx of young visitors, who hit home runs, ran a ninja-themed obstacle course, became face-painted tigers or butterflies, made liquid nitrogen ice cream, did burpee exercises and more as a part of our annual Family Fitness Day.
Novus’s mission, to make a clear difference in sustainably meeting the growing global need for nutrition and health, means not only committing to developing sustainable environmental solutions for global nutritional needs, but also to supporting a sustainable, engaged and empowered workforce.
Family Fitness Day contributes to our company’s mission by promoting the wellness, engagement and development of our employees by bringing families together to participate in a day of fun, health and learning about Novus’s values and culture.
Kids shadowed their parents and relatives until lunchtime, which was the kickoff of the day’s festivities. After lunch, families adventured through various rooms where local vendors provided services and activities such as hula hooping contests, caricature portraits, face painting and a ninja-themed obstacle course.
Meanwhile, adults enjoyed Tesla test drives and massages. Attendees also had the opportunity to raffle for fitness and sports prizes, such as fitness bracelets or gift cards to Dick’s Sporting Goods. By supporting a company culture where families come together in celebration of health and well-being, Novus makes true strides toward its mission to create a truly sustainable impact on this world inside and outside of Novus’s walls.
