As ruminant technical services lead for the NOVUS C.O.W.S.® Program, Dr. Luchterhand steers the program’s direction and focus, as well as trains current and new C.O.W.S.® team members.
The C.O.W.S.® program has been successful in helping dairy producers and their teams in the U.S. and Mexico unlock bottlenecks in their operations for over a decade.
Dr. Luchterhand has been active in the United States dairy industry for decades. Prior to joining Novus as the Midwest ruminant sales manager, she was the Clark County dairy and livestock agency for the University of Wisconsin-Extension. She also served as a dairy calf specialist during an internship at Landmark Services Cooperative and assisted producers with pharmaceutical needs as a dairy intern with Fort Dodge Animal Health.
