Novus Highlights Feed Mill Efficiency and Feed Biosecurity

Novus organized a forum entitled Advanced Feed Milling Through Innovation in Bangkok, Thailand on 16th of August 2019. The event was well attended by over 150 delegates including nutritionists, business owners and feed mill managers from around Thailand. The day was highlighted with informative sessions, engaging Q&A, entertaining games that allowed attendees to learn and enjoy at the same time.

Dr. Charles Stark, Associate Professor in Feed Technology from Kansas State University was the key note speaker at this event and shared his experiences on improving feed mill efficiency by focusing on critical feed mill processes such as energy management, batching and mixing systems as well as preventive maintenance. Dr. Teera Tiyasatkulkovit, Novus Senior Sales Manager for Thailand and Indochina, presented strategies on improving feed biosecurity to prevent and control emerging viral diseases, as concerns for the spread of African Swine Fever in the region heightens. Dr. Teera stressed the importance of having short and long term solutions to prepare the feed mill in mitigating threats from viral contamination in the feed and highlighted on FORMYCINE® GOLD Px, a formaldehyde based product, and ACTIVATE® DA, an organic acid & HMTBa blend, from Novus.

Ms. Nannapas Moonsap, Senior Regional Sales Director for Novus Thailand and Indochina, shares that “our industry (animal production) plays a critical role in providing affordable wholesome food to the growing global population. Novus is committed to support the industry in this role by providing our stakeholders with knowledge, skills and solutions to improve animal health and performance. Since all of this is not achievable without effective and efficient feed mill management and hygiene, this Novus forum’s focus was on these topics. It is eminent that we provide value not only through our solutions but also share knowledge on recent trends and technologies to support our partners and customers’ growth.”

Novus organizes knowledge forums around the region to support partners on overcoming animal production challenges and to share their recent researches on sustainable nutritional strategies for animal health and performance.
