Collection of Applicant Information

Novus is authorized to collect the information it obtains through your use of the Website, application for employment, and your submission of Applicant related documents, including but not limited to the personal information that you submit in connection with your intended employment (collectively “Applicant Information”). Examples of Applicant Information collected in connection with your application for employment may include: your name, telephone number, mobile phone number, e-mail address, physical/mailing address, title, employment history, education, job qualifications, and other relevant personal data. In addition, Novus may collect Applicant Information from third parties, for example, in connection with a background check, employment check, or Applicant reference.

Access to Applicant Information

Novus Applicants, contractors, and third party service providers affiliated with Novus who are involved in human resources, personnel supervisory, pay processing functions, benefits administration, or Website administration or maintenance, will be the only individuals or entities granted access to your Applicant Information, except as otherwise provided by this Applicant Privacy Policy.

Sharing of Applicant Information

Like many businesses, from time to time Novus outsources the processing of certain HR functions. Novus may share your Applicant Information with selected service providers or consultants acting on its behalf. Novus requires that those third party service providers protect your Applicant Information in accordance with this Applicant Privacy Policy. Such service providers include, but are not limited, to UltiPro, which assists with human resource, payroll, and benefits services. Novus may disclose your Applicant Information if required to do so by law, governmental or quasi-governmental requests, or a regulatory organization, or to relevant third parties such as Website technicians, brokers, auditors, lawyers, or professional advisors. In the event that Novus considers it necessary to disclose Applicant Information to protect the health, safety, or well-being of our Applicants, we may share Applicant Information to prevent such harm. As Novus continues to develop its business, we may buy or sell assets. In the unlikely event that Novus or substantially all of our assets are acquired, Applicant Information may be one of the transferred assets.

Storage and Retention of Applicant Information

Applicant Information may be stored in hard copy or electronic format locally within the Novus office of your potential employment, either in the United States or in other countries in which Novus, its affiliates, agents, or contractors, operate. Novus may retain your Applicant Information as long as necessary and appropriate to comply with applicable legal standards. Your Applicant Information may be transferred into our human resources system and used to manage your employment, may become part of your personnel file, and may be used for other work-related purposes. Access and Modification of Applicant Information

You may contact your human resources representative to request access to your Applicant Information so that you may confirm its accuracy, amend any inaccuracies, and update it as necessary. We will evaluate requests to remove non-essential Applicant Information, if permitted to do so by applicable law. In some circumstances, we may not agree with your request to change your Applicant Information and will instead append an alternative text to the record in question.

Use of Applicant Information

In accordance with applicable law, Novus may use Applicant Information to evaluate applications for employment, manage work-related aspects of the Applicant-employer relationship (e.g., training, payroll, benefits, travel, reimbursement expenses, performance appraisals, succession planning, Applicant health and safety), investigate and respond to any claims related to your employment, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. Your Applicant Information will not be used for direct marketing purposes by any third party service provider, unless you specifically agree to such use.

Protection of Applicant Information

We use reasonable and appropriate security measures to help prevent Applicant Information from becoming disclosed to individuals who are not described in this Applicant Privacy Policy. While we attempt to protect the information in our possession, no security system is perfect and we cannot promise that information about you will remain secure in all circumstances.

Cross Border Transfers

Novus is a global corporation with operations in many countries and has developed global data security practices designed to ensure that Applicant Information is appropriately protected. Please note that Applicant Information may be transferred, accessed, and stored globally as necessary for the uses and disclosures stated in this Applicant Privacy Policy.

Dispute Resolution
