NOVUS Bolsters Oceania Dairy Team with Ag Expert
NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA (April 15, 2025) – Rafael Guerrero is the newest member of the growing NOVUS dairy team that is supporting farmers in Oceania to optimize milk and component yield and cow health through intelligent nutrition.
As Sales Specialist for dairy, Guerrero is building strong connections by understanding farmers’ needs to help them achieve profitable outcomes.
“I offer valuable guidance on the benefits of animal nutrition, ensuring farmers have the right support to achieve the market demand for their goods,” he says.
The Mexico native says growing up on a pig farm fostered a deep passion for establishing sustainable connections between land, livestock, and the environment.
“After completing my veterinary degree and subsequent master’s studies, I developed a strong desire to contribute meaningfully to an industry that plays a pivotal role in nourishing communities while upholding ethical and sustainable practices,” he says. “Professionally, my engagement in animal agriculture is not merely a career path; rather, it represents a unique opportunity to address the sector’s challenges and work alongside its diverse stakeholders to make a substantive impact on the agricultural value chain. There is a profound sense of fulfillment in witnessing farmers successfully meet their needs and continue in the industry, passing on their knowledge, experience, and principles to future generations.”
Before joining NOVUS Guerrero served as a veterinarian and live export coordinator with Veterinary Livestock Services, and a veterinary officer at the Interamerican Institute for Cooperation in Agriculture (IICA) in Mexico.
Guerrero earned his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Autonomous University of Queretaro in Mexico and his master’s degree in agricultural sciences from the University of Melbourne in Australia. He currently resides in Melbourne, Australia.
