CHESTERFIELD, MO (June 25, 2026) – Kelly Sweeney, Ph.D., has joined NOVUS as senior technical services manager. In this role she’s working with poultry customers in the Southeastern United States to optimize bird performance and health through intelligent nutrition solutions and production best practices

Sweeney is an expert in hatchery and breeder management and nutrition. Her insights are particularly valuable as the U.S. poultry industry continues to struggle with hatch numbers.

“While average hatchability is up very slightly over last year, producers still have a desire to improve their live bird counts,” says North America Regional Sales Manager Ashley Drake. “Kelly’s expertise and insights will be valuable as customers work to meet their goals.”

Formerly of Cobb Vantress where she served as operations associate, hatchery technical service advisor, and associate director of hatcheries, Sweeney says she’s looking forward to working with customers to find the best solutions for their operation.

“The hatchery and especially male management are where we can offer additional support for the poultry industry,” says Sweeney. “I am eager to share my knowledge on rooster management and further explore how intelligent nutrition solutions like bis-chelated trace minerals are shown to enhance fertility and benefit hatchery key performance indicators.”

Sweeney earned her doctorate in poultry science at the University of Georgia. She’s a native of North Carolina, now residing in Georgia where she’s a member of the Georgia Farm Bureau.

NOVUS is the intelligent nutrition company combining global scientific research with local insights to develop innovative, advanced technology that helps farmers get more from their herds and flocks.
