The Zinc Oxide Ban and its Effect on the Animal Industry

Zine Oxide at pharmacological dosage in piglets feed has been widely used in the European Union for more than 30 years. Its use is directly related to an improved growth, lower mortality and diarrhea incidence in the post weaning period. However, the use of ZnO will be banned in June 2022.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • History and current status of the use of ZnO in EU
  • Challenges of weaning piglets without ZnO
  • Strategies to minimize those challenges
