NOVUS Strengthens Dairy Team in India to Support an Industry Facing Rising Costs and Evolving Challenges

Five new members of the NOVUS dairy team in India

BENGALURU, India (November 4, 2026) – NOVUS is strengthening its commitment to India’s dairy industry with the addition of commercial and technical experts focused on helping farmers address rising production costs, changing nutritional requirements and animal performance challenges.

The investment reflects NOVUS’ dedication to the dairy business in India by providing customers with greater access to technical expertise, innovative nutrition solutions and knowledgeable local representatives.

Across India’s diverse dairy production systems, farmers face increasing pressure to maintain profitability while managing fluctuating feed prices, reproductive challenges, heat stress and milk quality concerns. At the same time, advances in dairy genetics are creating opportunities for greater productivity, provided nutritional and management practices keep pace.

To help customers navigate these challenges, NOVUS has expanded its team across key dairy-producing regions.

Building Stronger Relationships with Dairy Industry

Vinod Renake, sales manager for western and central India, brings experience working with dairy farmers, feed manufacturers, premixers, channel partners and milk processors, along with an emphasis on long-term customer relationships.

Renake believes the industry needs practical solutions that address the underlying factors affecting cow performance.

“Escalating feed and fodder costs are challenges at the feed mill while low milk prices, nutritional imbalances and environmental stress are major concerns for dairy farmers,” Vinod says. “Our focus is on providing feed solutions that help mills and farmers manage these challenges while supporting herd productivity and profitability.”

In northern India, Avinash Singh, sales specialist, is supporting dairy farms in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. With more than a decade of experience in animal health and cattle feed markets, Singh understands the financial and nutritional pressures facing his customers.

“Rising raw material prices and credit-related challenges are putting pressure on dairy businesses,” Avinash says. “At the same time, advances in animal genetics mean farmers must pay closer attention to nutritional requirements. Precision nutrition offers an opportunity to optimize feed formulations and manage costs.”

Singh works with farmers and feed manufacturers to explain nutritional strategies, including the role of mineral bioavailability and feed formulation efficiency.

Also supporting NOVUS’ expansion in northern India is Jaswinder Singh, the sales specialist for Punjab. With more than 16 years of experience in veterinary sales, animal nutrition and business development, he brings practical knowledge of the challenges facing dairy farms.

“Farmers are dealing with high feed costs, fluctuating milk production, reproductive challenges and concerns about milk quality,” Jaswinder says. “Understanding each farm’s needs and providing practical technical guidance are essential to building trust and supporting long-term success.”

Raised in a farming family, he recognizes the importance of combining animal care with sound business decisions.

Expanding Technical Expertise to Support Dairy Performance

Alongside the growing commercial team, NOVUS is investing in specialized technical service experts to lead local research trials and help farmers and feed mills make informed nutritional decisions.

Dipen Patel, DVM, MSc, technical service specialist, supports customers and commercial teams across northern India. His expertise includes ruminant nutrition, nutrient digestion modeling, field research and the use of sensor-generated data to inform farm management decisions. Dr. Dipen also brings international research experience in nutrient utilization in commercial dairy herds.

“Nutrition plays a critical role in animal performance, farm productivity, profitability and sustainability,” Dr. Dipen says. “Combining analytical tools with practical farm knowledge allows us to develop evidence-based nutritional strategies and support more informed decisions.”

In southern, western and central India, Reshma Nair, Ph.D., serves as technical services representative, supporting customers through her specialized knowledge of nutritional environmental physiology, heat stress, oxidative stress and immune function in dairy cattle.

Dr. Reshma holds a doctorate in animal science and has contributed to 44 scientific publications in her area of expertise.

She sees significant opportunities to help Indian farmers adapt their feeding practices as production conditions and nutritional demands evolve.

“Fluctuating feed ingredient prices are a major challenge, and conventional feeding practices may not always allow cows to reach their full production potential,” Dr. Reshma says. “Technical education and research-based nutritional strategies can help customers better understand the options available to support animal performance.”

Connecting Global Nutritional Innovation with Local Dairy Needs

The expanded team is helping to educate local farmers on best management practices, cow comfort, and NOVUS’ specialty nutrition portfolio, including bis-chelated trace minerals and methionine solutions.

“Technical education, feed formulation efficiency and practical farm-level support have never been more important to the evolving dairy industry in India,” says Dairy Solutions Manager for Asia Dr. Gnanasekar “GS” Rangasamy. “By combining regional market knowledge with expertise in nutrition, physiology, animal health and data-driven decision-making, we are strengthening partnerships with dairy farmers, feed manufacturers, nutritionists and other industry stakeholders.”
